UNAIR NEWS – Public healthcare services carried out by “Ksatria Airlangga” (RST-KA) Floating Hospital team in the disaster area in Palu, Central Sulawesi, especially in Donggala District, since Tuesday, October 9 was transferred to the community health centers (puskesmas) in Donggala. Previously, health services (yankes) for casualties of earthquake and tsunami were carried out around the RST-KA in Donggala Port.
“The service around the RST-KA was stopped, now it is moved to Puskesmas in Donggala and carried out jointly with the crew of the Puskesmas Donggala. This is also held to gradually recover the health services at Puskesmas in Donggala, “said Suwaspodo Henry Wibowo, Dr., Sp.And., MARS., Secretary of Ksatria Medika Airlangga Foundation (YKMA) to UNAIRNEWS, Wednesday, October 10.
Tuesday, October 9 was the first day of serving at the Puskesmas, the RST-KA team consisted of a surgeon and six general practitioners. A general practitioner was also supporting the health services of the Surabaya City Government Team. The RST-KA team yesterday served 279 patients of basic health treatment and performed surgery to a patient.
Therefore, this Wednesday the RST-KA team also received support from medical personnel of Karsa Husada Hospital (RSKH) Batu City, Malang, and continued the public service at health centers around Donggala. A large tent from Ministry of Health aid which was originally put up around the ship was also moved around the Puskesmas.
“Today we will also meet with the Kadinkes Donggala to discuss the request for assistance with the recovery of functions in four Puskemas in Donggala,” added dr. Henri.
On the re-location of the healthcare services, Dr. Henri said that health workers, medical equipment, even tents, were also moved around the Puskesmas. This Wednesday, the RST-KA Team also received an additional task to re-start four Puskesmas around Donggala.
For the disaster in Palu, Central Sulawesi, the East Java Provincial Health Agency coordinated and mobilized aid. Several hospitals in East Java gradually sent to Palu to provide assistance for the health services. For example from Dr. Soetomo, RST-KA, RSSA and Lavalete Hospital (Malang), RSUD Sidoarjo, RSU dr. Soedono Madiun, RSU dr. Soebandi Jember, Karsa Husada Hospital (Batu) and so on.
Upon arrival in Palu medical personnel from various provinces reported to Health Center Post of the Central Sulawesi Health Agency. It will distribute the teams to various hospitals. For example to Undata Hospital, RST KRI dr. Soeharso, RST Ksatria Airlangga, Sis Aljufri Hospital, Budi Agung Hospital, Tarabelo Hospital, Kabilota Hospital, Madani Hospital, Bhayangkara Hospital, Samarintan Hospital, Woodward Hospital, Wirabuana Hospital, Yonkes 1 Hospital, Anatapura Hospital, and Bathesda Kulawi Hospital.
RST-KA which has docked at Donggala Port since Friday, October 5 received assistance from eleven medical staff from Batu RSH, Malang. They are Dr. Bambang Sp.OT., Dr. Bara, Sp.B, Dr. Ferdinandus, Sp.PD., Dr. Putra, Sp.Em., Dr. Radhitio, M.BioMed., Ali Mansur, SST., Dhella Christianto, Amd.Kep, Sujud Priono M.Kep Ns., Angga S.Farm, Apt., Nunung Heri S, S.Gz., and Suwiyarno, Amd Kep..
