UNAIR NEWS – The Red and White Vaccine has become Universitas Airlangga (UNAIR) innovation product that supports industrial downstream in Indonesia. It was revealed by the Rector of UNAIR Prof Dr Mohammad Nasih SE MT Ak CMA during the Leader Talk event on Friday, March 11, 2022.
During the event that invited the Coordinating Minister of Maritime and Investment Affairs of The Republic of Indonesia Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan, UNAIR Rector said that the Red and White vaccine initiated by UNAIR have been appealing to various investors. Therefore in the journey, supports from many parties is needed.
“UNAIR Red and White vaccine has attracted the attention for investment. Biotis must invest up to 2,1 trillion to produce Red and White Vaccine. It means this creation has attracted investors to invest their money,” said the Rector of UNAIR.
Rector hoped that the investment climate would improve. In his opinion, investment is a long-term program that needs a conducive system. “UNAIR will contribute to support many investments, especially post-pandemic, with the creation of Ksatria Airlangga,” he said.
In line with that, the Coordinating Minister of Maritime and Investment Affairs of The Republic of Indonesia, Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan, asked the help from universities to realize the success of the industrial downstream program. He hoped UNAIR Rector asked postgraduate students to check out industrialization happening in some regencies in Indonesia.
“Hopefully, we could build an advanced industry, such as battery from nickel that supplies electric cars powers,” expressed Luhut.
Regarding the economic transformation post-pandemic, Luhut said that only quality Human Resources could realize it. In his opinion, Indonesia has abundant potential in human capital, but less improved education quality has become an inhibiting factor. Therefore Indonesia is pouring many scholarships and university cooperation between Indonesia and foreign countries, especially in science, so human resource quality is improved. (*)
