UNAIR NEWS – Ayu Maulida Putri, 2015 UNAIR Faculty of Law student won the best catwalk female model at 2019 Indonesia Fashion Week (IFW) event. She won the award on the fifth day of IFW event on Sunday, March 31 at Jakarta Convention Center (JCC).
Ayu’s award was a new award given for participant this year. Precisely since six years in a row IFW held a fashion show.
“The best catwalk model category was relatively new award given for the participant this year. Furthermore, the jury choose the winner through participants passion in delivering their walk on catwalk.” she explained
Of the approximately fifty models that took part in the competition, two best categories of women and men were selected. Both of them got the best catwalk model award.
“Actually the award was appreciation for the winner. There were male and female categories, ” said Ayu.
Regarding to her career, Ayu shared her experiences as a model. In IFW 2019, she had an opportunity to bring clothes from several designers. Among other things, Poppy Darsono, Agnes Budisurya, Danjyo Hiyoji, Barli Asmara, Misan, Tethuna, and Lia Afif.
“Being a model, there were many interesting things such as using designer clothes, meeting several senior model and so on.” said the woman born in Surabaya.
Indonesia Fashion Week 2019 held on March 27 – March 31 at Jakarta Convention Center (JCC). The biggest fashion event in Indonesia featured fashion shows from dozens of famous designers across the nation. (*)
