UNAIR NEWS – Many achievements has been accomplished by Universitas Airlangga (UNAIR) not only in academics, but also non-academics. Recently, an achievement in the field of modeling was made by Faculty Law (FH) UNAIR student.
On Friday, March 29 2019, UNAIR NEWS team managed to interview the woman who familiarly called Ayu. The student of Faculty of Law UNAIR batch 2015, Ayu Maulida Putri crowned as the Face of Indonesia 2019.
In the modeling world, the woman who was also Ambassador of Earth Hour Surabaya will represent Indonesia at Asia Model Festival held in South Korea. Precisely, on May 20 to June 9, 2019 to get the title of Face of Asia.
“Recently, I won as the Face of Indonesia 2019. Which will later, I will continue competing in Asia Model Festival in Korea from May to June.” she said.
Aside from joining the competition, Asia Model Festival also opened enormous opportunities for her career as a model in international industry. There will be several international agencies choosing several models from the Face of Asia event.
“Hopefully, I can make Indonesia pround by joining this competition and get crownead as the Face of Asia title.” she said.
Ayu said the achievement that she made could not be separated with her effort. Her career in modeling started from Middle School, class XI to class X high school. At that time, she also had an opportunity to take part in Biyan fashion show, one of the most famous designers in Indonesia.
Since then, Ayu has increasingly pursued her talents in Jakarta Fashion Week. Including Indonesia Fashion Week.
During her time in eleventh grade, the beautiful model born in Surabaya was increasingly known to the public for being a Brand Ambassador of a beauty clinic. Previously, Ayu also often participated in modeling events in Surabaya.
“Luckily when I was a Brand Ambassador for two years, my photos were everywhere.” she said.
In 2017, Ayu proved her seriousness in modeling world by participating in Putri Indonesia East Java and successfully became Runner Up 1 and she continues to thrive in the industry.
She was very confident that her work in accordance with her passion would produce maximum results.
“I alway try my best because all the hard work will be paid off in the end of the day. Besides that, we have to do everything from our heart.” she said. (*)
