Ramadan 1440 H, a Momentum for Increasing Solidarity among People

UNAIR NEWS – The momentum of Ramadan 1440H addressed by Medical Faculty (TLM) students Faculty of Vocational Studies, Universitas Airlangga (UNAIR) by holding social services. The social service took the form of distributing takjil (light snacks) for everyone who passed by at Jalan Jetis Kulon Surabaya area on Saturday May 18).

The activity was positively welcomed by people who crossed the road. It can be seen from the number of riders lining up in order to get free takjil.

One of the students who took part in the event, Azhar Fauzi R. Azhar revealed social service was one of the small actions to implement one of Tri Dhama Higher Education, namely community service.

“The activity is one of Tri Dhama Higher Education implementation, which is community service. Hopefully with a small step, we can increase our enthusiasm towards a bigger step, “said Azhar.

In addition, Azhar also revealed that the other activity purpose was to enhance the relation of TLM student family.

“The other purpose of this activity is increasing the sense of belonging between TLM student families,” he added.

At the same place, the chief executive of the program Abdul Rasyid Dwi Yuliawan said the activity for takjil was one form of student concern for the community, while building a sense of solidarity among people.

“Alhamdulillah, the activity for takjil itself is an initiative of TLM students to welcome the month of Ramadan and to increase sensitivity to the community,” said Rasyid, his nickname.

At the end of the activity, Rasyid expressed his gratitude to all those who have contributed to the success of this activity. Not to forget, he also gave hope for future activities.

“Thank you to those who have contributed to this activity. Hopefully, what has been done can give a good benefit the community “Rasyid added. (*)
