UNAIR NEWS – Rector of Universitas Airlangga, Prof. Dr. Nasih SE., MT. Ak. gave a presentation in front of freshmen parents at Garuda Mukti Hall, 5th Floor, Universitas Airlangga Management Office on Friday, August 02. During the event, Prof. Nasih revealed that it was an honor for him to meet the parents.
Furthermore, he welcomed all of new student in Universitas Airlangga. Not to mention, Prof. Nasih expressed his gratitude for trusting UNAIR as the main choice in continuing higher education.
“Thank you for trusting us. Hopefully, we can educate them (students, ed) to be better,” said Rector.
After giving his speech, Prof. Nasih introduced the staff at UNAIR. Followed by giving some material about the vision and mission that UNAIR will achieve in the future.
Prof. Nasih said that UNAIR’s vision and mission were very clear. Namely, leading, independent, innovative at both the national and international levels.
Therefore, the Rector said that every policy at UNAIR is based on “BEST”, which is short for Based on Morality, Excellent (academic, research, and community development) Smart Academic Culture, and Target Oriented.
Hopefully, UNAIR academic community will have a “HEBAT” character. Namely, ‘H’ which stand for humble and honest.
‘E’ for Excellent, who has the qualifications and skills that have knowledge in knowledge. ‘B’ for Brave, who always dares to come forward to uphold the truth.
“UNAIR students are also expected to be brave because only with courage, we will win, “said the Rector.
He continued, ‘A’ for Agile, which is responsive in dealing with everything, and ‘T’ for Transcendent which involves God in every activities.
The tagline of “HEBAT” is encourage UNAIR to enter World Top 500 universities ranks in 2020.
It is known that the activity which was attended by hundreds of parents of new students is a series of Center for Social Fund Management (PUSPAS) event.
