UNAIR NEWS- The June 2021 Graduation ceremony of Universitas Airlangga (UNAIR) is an important and also joyous moment at the same time for the graduates. Even though the event was held via a blended method, the June 2021 graduation held on Saturday, June 26, 2021, went solemnly.

On that occasion, Dr. Thinzar Win, from Myanmar, delivered her remarks as a graduate representative. She admitted that it was an honor for her to stand on the podium and give her remarks. Thinzar is also thankful for the trust she received to represent the graduates.

Dr Thinzar, who graduated from UNAIR’s S3 program, of Faculty of Economic and Business (FEB), stated that she felt happy and comfortable living in Indonesia. For Thinzar, Unair, Surabaya, and Indonesia will always have a place in her heart, even though she will return to Myanmar after graduation.

“I am really grateful to have the opportunity to live in Indonesia that is comfortable and peaceful, especially in FEB UNAIR. The lecturers and the administrative staff always provide the best service, and always support us (the graduates, ed), so that I can finish my study in less than three years,” said Dr, Thinzar.

As the graduate representative, Thinzar expressed her gratitude and pays her respect to all parties that support the educational process in UNAIR. So that she and all the other graduates can finish their studies well.

In her speech, she also stated how happy she is with UNAIR’s achievement to be ranked at #465 QS World University Ranking. Thinzar also thanked the university leadership, the faculty leadership, and all the lecturers who are always patient in guiding, giving knowledge, and life lessons during her study.

“We hope that the knowledge we have gained so far can be used and will benefit the community. Moreover, we also hope that the academic community can have an easy life, as they have eased and helped us with our problems during our study. We also apologize for all the mistakes that we have made, we will learn from them in moving forward in life,” stated Thinzar.

Other than that, Thinzar also expressed her pride in graduating from UNAIR. UNAIR’s Motto ‘Excellence with Morality’ has taught its students to align intellectuality and personality.

“We have to realize that graduating is not the end of our struggle. It is but the start of our struggle to move forward through life. Let us close our ranks and share the knowledge that we struggled for with the public. May we all be successful and useful to the country and the nation,” concluded Thinzar.
