UNAIR NEWS – In addition to carrying out community service (PKL) of Faculty of Public Health (FKM) Universitas Airlangga (UNAIR) helped to empower youth health center in Donan Village, Purwosari District, Bojonegoro Regency. The activity was held on Thursday, January 24 at local Village Hall.
The event began with upper arm circumference measurement, weight and height measurement for all health center youth participants. Besides, blood pressure checks and added blood tablets are also carried out.
“The youth health center is one of the government’s programs to improve the welfare of adolescents,” said Yanti, the local village sector.
There are several materials presented at the activity. Among these are adolescent reproductive health; Drug or Narcotics, Alcohol, Psychotropic and Other Addictive Substances; and sexually transmitted infections.
After delivering the material, Innaha Ilma Wardaya as the representative of the students guided the participants to determine the composition of youth health center administrators.
“The activity will be held once every three months,” concluded Yanti.
Yanti also thanked PKL students for helping to hold a youth Posyandu in Donan Village for the first time. With the formation of youth health center administrators, Yanti hopes the activities will continue in the future. (*)
