UNAIR NEWS – Amid Covid-19 pandemic, health workers are at the frontline treating Covid-19 patients. More health workers have died in carrying out this noble service.
Therefore, Universitas Airlangga Faculty of Dental Medicine (FKGUA) and its Alumni Association commissariat donated personal protective equipment (APD) to the Universitas Airlangga Dental Hospital (RSGMUA).
Being held at FKG UNAIR on Tuesday, April 28, 2020, 500 N95 masks were handed over directly by the Dean of FKGUA Dr. R. Darmawan Setijanto., Drg., M. Kes and received by the Director of RSGMUA, Prof. RM. Coen Pramono D., drg., SU., Sp. BM (K). Donations from the Universitas Airlangga Alumni Association commissariat of Dental medicine in the form of 120 KN95 masks, 232 liters of liquid hand sanitizer, 50 liters of gel hand sanitizer, and 1 extra oral suction device were also given.
In an interview, the alumni representative, Sabda Alam drg., Sp, KGA, said that the purpose of this aid was as a form of support to their colleagues who were struggling to deal with Covid-19. A similar tone was conveyed by the dean of FKG UNAIR.
“RSGM-UA continues to serve the community, but only emergency cases such as bleeding due to trauma. I receive this aid in the hope of breaking the chain of Covid-19 transmission and this outbreak will pass soon, “said Prof. Coen when receiving the aid. (*)
