UNAIR NEWS – Universitas Airlangga has held an Inauguration for Doctoral, Master’s, Specialist, and Professional Program Students virtually. It was attended by UNAIR rector and the leaderships with 925 new students on Wednesday, February 17.
In his opening remarks, UNAIR Rector Prof. Moh. Nasih invited all participants to be grateful for God’s blessings. Prof. Nasih also congratulated all new students and emphasized that the inauguration was the beginning and a place to provide knowledge for all students.
“After being inaugurated, we hope that all students can study with strong enthusiasm, intention, and motivation. Don’t just pursue degrees or titles as masters and doctorates. More than that, studies should be intended as our efforts to gain knowledge and wisdom, “explained Prof. Nasih.
In the next presentation, Prof. Nasih also explained the five themes of UNAIR’s strategy contained in SMART University values. The professor of FEB UNAIR also emphasized that campus is a storehouse of knowledge, experience, and all things needed to improve human life.
“You have to broaden your horizons and thoughts to gain added value on this campus. With this added value, the value of your life can be even better. Especially in improving the students’ morals and behavior, “he explained.
At the end, Prof. Nasih said that postgraduate is a level of scientific development. Thus, all students’ final work and assignments must be a solution for the nation’s problems. Therefore, this study process is one way to take the initiative and participate in resolving the existing issues.
“With this orientation and good intentions, Insya Allah, it will be welcomed by the Almighty. The important thing is that our direction and steps remain on the right path. If we can achieve all of that, we are the lucky ones, “he concluded.
