UNAIR NEWS – Faculty of Nursing Universitas Airlangga held a Legislative Course (LC) on Saturday, November 7. The event was held by Student Legislative Body (BLM) as a form of the work program of Commission III.

LC or Legislative Course is a series of faculty aspect activities that are mandatory for new students. The event was held to increase freshmen’s insight and critical thinking skills related to current issues. Besides, new students are expected to be good leaders and obey the rules or laws in force.

The legislative course is held once a year, to be precise in the first semester for new FKp UNAIR students. This year is the fifth time the event has been held. In this year’s LC, new students are required to be able to discuss issues that have been given by the committee actively. There are three issues, namely the implementation of regional elections during Covid-19 pandemic. The vaccine will be completed in 2021 and ratification of Job Creation Bill amid Covid-19 pandemic.

Kharisma student class 2019 as a participant of Legislative Cours event as well as the chief executive expressed her impressions of the LC in 2020.

“Thank God, it went well, “said Kharisma

Kharisma explained that the event received positive enthusiasm from new students, considering its huge benefits to hone critical thinking skills.

“The enthusiasm of the new students is extraordinary, especially because of the actual theme raised, thereby increasing interest. Hopefully, we can organize the event for next year and discuss the theme critically with each other face to face, ” said Kharisma.
