UNAIR NEWS – Universitas Airlangga Hospital is one of the top three hospitals in Indonesia with most Covid-19 patients. It was conveyed by UNAIR Rector Prof. Moh Nasih on Friday, June 5, 2020 in his office.

Prof. Nasih said that UNAIR has treated more than 300 Covid-19 patients. It is less than Covid-19 patients handled by Wisma Atlet Hospital, which is around 700 patients.

“From the beginning until now we have treated more than 300 patients while in the Wisma Atlet there were 700 patients. From the contribution, we are glad because we can provide services to many patients, “he said.

For this reason, he expressed his gratitude to those who have provided support and assistance to UNAIR in handling Covid-19. Both to the donors, and to CT Corp which has provided assistance for renovation of Special Hospital for Infections (RSKI) to treat Covid-19 patients.

Last April, CT Corp-Bank Mega has provided 45 billion aid fund to UNAIR RSKI. Therefore, RSKI has 145 beds to handle Covid-19 patients.

“There are at least 40 ICU (Intensive Care Unit, ed) bed and 140 HCU (High Care Unit, ed) bed units. With that capacity, we can provide even better services, “said UNAIR Rector.

“We’d like to express our gratitude and appreciation to ladies and gentlemen who have made extraordinary contributions to UNAIR,” he added. (*)
