UNAIR NEWS – Ramadan is indeed an appropriate moment to do a lot of good deeds. One of the good things often done in this holy month is goodness that leads to caring for others.
This time, Universitas Airlangga and BNI once again carried out activity carried out annually. It is the distribution of groceries to all residents in needs in and around campus. The activity entitled “Handover of 1000 Ramadan 1441 H Gifts to People & Orphans in Universitas Airlangga Environtment” was held in the lobby of the Airlangga Convention Center (ACC) Campus C UNAIR on Thursday, May 14.
On the occasion, Chairperson of UNAIR Dharma Wanita Triyani Nasih in her remarks said that initially she was still hesitant to carry out the activity. The reason is the pandemic conditions that require all parties to keep their distance.
“However, after several parties gave input. In normal conditions, many people need this, and it is especially needed in a pandemic like this, so this charity activity can be carried out, ” she said.
Regarding the food packages provided, Triyani Nasih explained that this year’s package was different from last year. This year, the contents include 5 kg of rice, oil, tea, soy sauce, and instant noodles.
“Thank you to many parties who have helped for this activity. Hopefully it will be useful for those who receive them and god bless for us all, ” she said.
Meanwhile, Head of BNI Surabaya Branch, Bagus Suandoko on the same occasion said that his party was very grateful to be able to work together with UNAIR, mainly in social activities during Ramadan. In the future, he will also continue to support various similar efforts and activities.
“Especially in social activities like this. Hopefully we get the blessing together. Thank you again for UNAIR’s support, “he said.
