UNAIR NEWS – 2020 State University National Entrance Selection (SNMPTN) results are officially announced today, Wednesday, April 8, 2020 at 13.00 WIB. All participants who register for 2020 SNMPTN can see the announcement on the official page of State University Entrance Test Institute (LTMPT) as well as the page of each state university.

Rector of Universitas Airlangga Prof. Mohammad Nasih said that in 2020 there were 20,225 high school students who registered at UNAIR through SNMPTN. Of that amount, 1,492 participants successfully passed and accepted. Among the 1,492 accepted participants, 304 of them are Indonesian Smart Card (KIP)-College registrants.

The rector said that the level of competition in UNAIR was only 7.38 for all programs.

Still the same as in previous years, 2020 is the era of women. Of the 1,492 participants who passed the selection, 1,224 of them are women.

“That means, 82 percent of participants accepted at UNAIR are women,” rector said.

Meanwhile, there were two programs where 100 percent accepted applicants are women, the Midwifery Program in Faculty of Medicine and Information Systems Faculty of Science and Technology.

The rector said that he and the forum of rectors’ assembly agreed that the re-registration and verification process was carried out online. Therefore, participants who have been accepted, are expected to seek information on UNAIR website here regarding re-registration and verification.

“We hope that participants who were already accepted, can prepare the re-registration requirements. Immediately, fill in the data on 9-15 April 2020. Other processes will be announced later, “explained Prof. Nasih.

The Professor of Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB) UNAIR emphasized that participants accepted through SNMPTN who experienced physical and financial difficulties, to immediately communicate with the university.

“Don’t use financial constraints as an excuse not to re-register. Communication with us is very important, because re-registration can be done even though payment has not yet been made, “said the rector.

For the implementation of UTBK (Computer Based Entrance Test), the committee uses a tentative schedule. Prof. Nasih who is also the Head of LTMPT Executive Team hoped that future conditions will allow for the implementation of UTBK.

“If UTBK unable to be carried out because of Covid-19 outbreak, then we will make adjustments to the schedule,” he added. (*)
