Three Faculty of Vocational Studies students make achievements at national scientific writing competition

UNAIR NEWS – Great news coming from three Faculty of Vocational Studies Universitas Airlangga students, Annisa Maulidya, Ajeng Dilla Lestari, and Yasmin Aulia Hylmi. The Medical Laboratory Technology students took home two trophies at the 2020 National Moment of Civil Engineering Scientific Writing Competition (LKTIN MOCE) at Bengkulu University on March 12-15, 2020.

Through the work of “Smart ST Fiber with Adapted Layer System: Optimizing the Potential of Sansevieria trifasciata Fiber with the layered Mecobilayer System as Preventive Anti-PM10 Healthy Masks for Forest Fire”, they succeeded in winning two awards as First Place and Best presentation through an evaluation from the board the judges and the knowledge and mastery of the material from the work they raised.

Previously they had gone through a series of selection processes, abstract selection, and after being declared qualified they sent full papers to be selected as 15 Grand Finalists of 2020 LKTIN MOCE. After qualifying, they came to Bengkulu University as Grand Finalists to present their work.

Annisa Maulidya, the team leader, said that she wanted to give her best effort and did not want to disappoint the people around him. “Actually there is no ambition to become first winner, because what we only think one thing, giving our best appearance and best efforts, so we do not disappoint those who already believe and fully support us,” she said.

Annisa also advised all Airlangga Knights to strive to make achievements and never give up until they get what they want, “If you fail, try again. Don’t justify any methods to win, but enjoy the process, ” she concluded.
