UNAIR NEWS – In 2020, Faculty of Law Universitas Airlangga (FH UNAIR) was chosen to host XXVII National Seminar and Conference (Semunas). The event is an annual agenda held by Indonesian National Board of Asian Law Students’ Association (ALSA) which is a special organization for Faculty of Law students throughout Asia.
This event is the highest forum of ALSA National Chapter Indonesia. In the event, all delegates from each local chapter will present their progress report. The activity is also a responsibility forum for the National Board of ALSA Indonesia management.
Not only holding a national conference, the event which was held for three consecutive days from March 13 to March 15, 2020 also held a national seminar with the theme “Legal Challenges in The Fourth Industrial Revolution: The Future of Legal Professional”.
The national seminar that was held at the Surabaya Youth Hall Building was attended by many speakers from legal professionals such as Johannes C. Sahetapy Engel Founder of Akset Legal Firm, Muhammad Philosophi CEO & Founder of Legalku, Prof. Dr. H. Ahmad M. Romli, SH, MH, FCB. Arb., Professor of Padjajaran University, and Dr. Herlambang P. Wiratraman, SH, MA lecturer at Department of State Law FH UNAIR.
In the 27th Semunas event, all delegates who were present were invited for dinner provided by the Surabaya City Government at Youth Hall Building as well as for a discussion to enjoy the last night before returning to their respective cities.
Muhtina Tria Novianti, as the Project Officer in the event, expressed her gratitude to all parties who have played a role in the success of the national seminar and conference event. She also hoped that with the National Conference, all parties, including members of ALSA FH UNAIR, and other ALSA members could take benefit.
“I want to say many thanks to everyone, the committee, the speakers and also all the delegates who helped to make this year’s National Conference a success, and hope that with the completion of this National Seminar all parties whether they are members of ALSA Local Chapter UNAIR or ALSA from other local chapters can take benefits from it, ” she concluded.
