Publishing scientific journal in Scopus leads Kevin to be an outstanding graduate in Faculty of Medicine

UNAIR NEWS – Becoming the best graduate from Faculty of Medicine is one of the excellent achievements for Kevin Luke. The man who was born in Surabaya managed to earn a GPA of 3.89.

During his study, Kevin often participated in academic competitions or scientific activities such as symposiums. Besides, he is also actively involved in organizational activities: BEM and Asian Medical Student ‘Association (AMSA).

“I’m glad that everyone is supportive, so it does not feel hard during my time studying in UNAIR, “he said.

Kevin managed to publish his paper in an international journal indexed by Scopus Q3. Starting from his passion for exploring cardiology, Kevin also raised the thesis topic related to coronary heart problems.

“I’m grateful that my supervisor lecturer of a cardiologist is one of the experts of coronary intervention. From the beginning, he targets me to publish international journals, “he explained.

His paper was rejected by several international journals before. However, Kevin’s hard work finally paid off. The article entitled “Predictive Value of Hematological Indices in The Diagnosis of Acute Coronary Syndrome” was received by an international journal called Marchonian Journal of Medical Sciences and indexed Q3 Scopus.

Currently, he is working as a young doctor in Dr. Soetomo Hospital and working on the new paper as well. In the future, Kevin wants to continue his cardiovascular specialist education and doctoral (PhD) program.
