UNAIR NEWS – The real steps and efforts of Universitas Airlangga to be among Top 500 world-class universities have brought results. This time, two subjects within UNAIR are ranked in QS WUR by Subject 2020.
In this regard, the Head of UNAIR Planning Development Board (BPP) Prof. Badri Munir Sukoco Ph.D., stated that this achievement was the result of a long process carried out by all UNAIR academics. The two ranked programs in QS WUR by Subject 2020 are Medicine and Business and Management Studies.
“UNAIR’s Business and Management Studies is in # 451-500 world and Medicine is in position # 551-600,” said Prof. Badri.
The FEB UNAIR Professor also explained that it he was proud of the achievement because in the world there are more than 38 thousand universities with business management studies while in the field of medicine, he said, there are certainly more than that.
“The achievement of two subjects that are in the top 500 of the world should make us proud,” he said.
Prof. Badri also revealed that in Indonesia the two subjects are included in the top three nationally. The Medicine subject is under the UI and UGM, while the Business and Management Studies field is after UGM and ITB.
“This is what we should be grateful for because in previous years there were no fields in the world 500 position,” he said.
Furthermore, Prof. Badri also hoped that in the future there will be more subjects in UNAIR that can penetrate the position of Top 500 worldwide. According to him, it is one step to show the quality and recognition of existing fields of science to the world.
“Next year, other subjcets will certainly be improved because this is a great asset for UNAIR to show the world its quality subjects, “he concluded.
