Graduation Day-2, Rector: UNAIR graduates must implement UNAIR HEBAT

UNAIR NEWS – The second day of graduation of Universitas Airlangga (UNAIR) took place on Sunday, March 8, 2020. At Airlangga Convention Center (ACC) UNAIR Campus C, the rector inaugurated 1,289 graduates. In his remarks, UNAIR Rector Prof. Dr. H. Mohammad Nasih, SE., MT., Ak., CMA., delivered some messages to the graduates. The rector congratulated the graduates for completing their higher education at UNAIR.

UNAIR is listed as a university with good alumni reputation both nationally and internationally. It was revealed by UNAIR Rector in his remarks on the potential of UNAIR alumni who were indexed in the QS World Top Graduate Employability Ranking.

“The reputation of UNAIR graduates in the job market has achieved the expected target, which is in the 393 World Top Graduate Employability Ranking position. UNAIR graduates have wide opportunities to get jobs, “explained the Rector.

Nevertheless, the rector emphasized that a high level of determination and motivation is needed to achieve future success. The willingness and ability to succeed are challenges that must be faced by graduates. Moreover, more confidence is needed for UNAIR graduates to win the competition in the professional world. The world is changing very fast.

“With a very long process starting from the planning, curriculum design, facilities infrastructure, and lecturers’ capability is continued to be improved, you have to prove that you are people showing excellence with morality. The people with extraordinary excellence, but their hearts have extraordinary tenderness and piety, “said the rector.

The rector added that the success achieved by graduates was inseparable from the contribution and role of all parties. Therefore, the rector advised the graduates to always be grateful and thankful to all those who have provided support. He believes that UNAIR graduates will become great people. As UNAIR’s tagline is HEBAT which is Humble, Excellent, Brave, Agile, and Transcendent.

“First you have H, Humble. With humility, the learning process will last for a lifetime. Humility will make it easy for you to receive kindness from anywhere. The key to true learners is to be a humble person, “said the rector.

“Excellent, you have to be superior in many ways. Brave, you must dare to have a high fighting spirit. Then Agile, means agile in facing changes and dynamics that occur in the surrounding environment. Finally, Transcendent, which always presents God in every step,” said the rector. (*)
