From Piyu Padi to 37 golden tickets receiver, 2020 AEE UNAIR is officially closed

UNAIR NEWS – Satriyo Yudi Wahono or Piyu Padi’s performance officially closed the 2020 Airlangga Education Expo (AEE) Universitas Airlangga. The largest and prestigious education exhibition organized by UNAIR succeeded in attracting students from all over Indonesia to come at Airlangga Convention Center (ACC) on February 21-23.

Appearing dapper in a black jacket suit, Piyu brought three songs: Mahadewi, Ternyata Cinta, Semua Tak Sama. The former Padi guitarist born in Surabaya, who was an alumnus of Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB) UNAIR succeeded in bewitching hundreds of participants in the ACC building.

“As warm as your hug, as soft as your touch. No one can be like you, “a part of ‘Tak Semua Sama’ sung by Piyu before he played his guitar so neatly.

After three songs sung by Piyu, UNAIR Rector Prof. Dr. Mohammad Nasih, SE., M.T., Ak., CMA., gave golden tickets to ‘chosen’ students with brilliant achievements of Quran memorizer and international competition.

On the last day of AEE, Prof. Nasih stated that 37 students accepted directly as students in Universitas Airlangga. There were seven student accepted in Faculty of Medicine, two students in Faculty of Dental Medicine, two students in Faculty of Public Health, two students in Faculty of Nursing, eight students in Faculty of Science and Technology, two students in Faculty of Fisheries and Marine, five students in Faculty of Economics and Business, three students in Faculty of Social and Political Sciences, and one student in School of Advanced and Multidisciplinary Technology.

Sarah Rizqiya Zahiya, an outstanding student from Al Uswah High School in Surabaya, received a golden ticket and accepted as a student in Faculty of Medicine. She was grateful and happy because her hard work finally paid off.

“I’m grateful to be accepted at UNAIR, I want to study, develop my skill, and be the best,” Sarah said.

After the golden ticket announcement, 2020 AEE events officially closed by Rector of Universitas Airlangga. Furthermore, UNAIR is ready to accept thousands of new students from all over Indonesia this year. (*)
