UNAIR NEWS – Starting 2020, Universitas Airlangga held a Work Meeting and Focus Group Discussion (FGD) with the heads of departments (Kadep), secretaries of departments (Sekdep), and coordinators of programs (KPS). More than 300 participants consisting of Kadep, Sekdep, and KPS at Universitas Airlangga attended the event held at Blambangan Ballroom, Illira Hotel, Banyuwangi.
The work meeting and FGD were also attended by the Rector of Universitas Airlangga, Prof. Moh. Nasih with the vice rectors. In the opening session, Prof. Nasih expressed his appreciation and gratitude to all participants as in 2019, Universitas Airlangga has made various achievements such as the increasing number of programs accredited and certified internationally.
From 168 existing programs, 41 of them have been accredited and certified internationally, such as from the AUN-QA (ASEAN University Network-Quality Assurance), ASIIN (Akkreditierungsagentur für Studiengänge der Ingenieurwissenschaften, der Informatik, der Naturwissenschaften und der Mathematic), ASIC (Accreditation Service for International Schools, Colleges & Universities), FIBAA (The Foundation) for International Business Administration Accreditation), and APHEA (Agency for Public Health Education Accreditation).
“I am sure that in 2020 we will gain better results. This is the result of all of your works, “said Prof. Nasih.
Prof. Nasih also said that 2019 was also a year of glory for publication achievements as UNAIR has produced 1,944 scientific publications.
Furthermore, Prof. Nasih said that the challenges of higher education in the future will be more dynamic. Despite having achieved various achievements in 2019, he appealed that in the future all parties can work together to make a greater history.
“Continue to be humble, excellent, brave, agile, transcendent, and never forget the Almighty because He is the one who gave us the opportunity until this day,” he explained.
After Prof. Nasih’s remarks, the FGD was led by Vice Dean for Assets, Finance, and HR at Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (FISIPOL) Gadjah Mada University Nurhadi, S.Sos., M.Si., Ph.D. Nurhadi spoke about Diversification of Faculty Revenues.
Participants seemed enthusiastic in the FGD. Nurhadi shared tips to participants in improving student and community members’ welfare at Faculty of Social and Political Sciences UGM. One of the efforts is strengthening relationships with alumni. (*)
