UNAIR NEWS – Alumni of Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB) held a campus visit event on Saturday, January 11, 2020 in Supoyo Hall of Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB) UNAIR. There were Prof. Dr. Dian Agustia, SE., M.Si., Ak., CMA., CA., (Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Business), Dr. Rudi Purwono, S.E., M.SE (Vice Dean I of Faculty of Economics and Business), Dr. Ahmad Rizki Sridadi, S.H., M.M., M.H. (Vice Dean II of Faculty of Economics and Business), and Titis Yurina (Visit Campus Initiator) in the event.

“I’d like to say many thanks to Universitas Airlangga for giving a very warm welcome to us, Class 88. We as alumni feel that we have more responsibility to give something to this beloved alma mater,” said Titis Yurina.

The event titled “Eling Kampus Selawase (Remember Campus Forevermore)” went very lively with great enthusiasm from the alumni. Members of Faculty of Economics and Business Student Executive Board (BEM FEB) also attended and talked with alumni.

“We cannot forget Universitas Airlangga services, which have educated me and my colleagues well to be someone today, therefore we want to present gazebos for reading space for younger students,” she added.

Titis revealed, the idea to give reading spaces she got when she was having discussion with Prof. Dian (Dean of FEB). It aims to increase students’ interest in reading and learning so they do not only learn in class but also while waiting for classes.

“I am very happy that this activity can be done well. It is all because of the support of my ‘88 classmates,” she said.

A series of events was attended by 48 alumni from Class ‘88, such as the reading spaces hand-over session, Educational Aid award, and hospitality session with lecturers and alumni.

“In addition to supporting the education of disadvantaged younger siblings, we will also provide educational aid to the Faculty of Economics and Business,” she concluded.

Titis said that everything given by alumni was solely as a gift of gratitude towards Universitas Airlangga, which had given many valuable lessons when they were students. She also hoped that FEB can improve its quality in the future. (*)
