Rector appeals functional officials continue to develop technology in administrative field

UNAIR NEWS – Rector of Universitas Airlangga (UNAIR) Prof. Mohammad Nasih, SE, MT, Ak., CMA accompanied by vice rectors officially inaugurated 25 functional officials in UNAIR. The inauguration and oath taking was held on Friday, December 13, 2019 at Amerta Hall, Management Office 4th Floor, Campus C UNAIR.

In front of inaugurated officials made up of library archivists, educational laboratory attendants, and procurement of service good officials, the rector said that the oath carried many risks and must be kept because it is a promise to the nation, state, and alma mater.

“When you all swear, Allah will record our oath. Therefore, remember that the oath will not be a burden if we do not do wrong and break them, “explained Prof. Nasih.

Prof. Nasih revealed that in the future certain functional positions and tasks will dominate, not only the four positions, but it will apply to all functional positions.

Furthermore, Prof. Nasih also hoped that appointed officials continue to develop innovations in the field of technology, such as the use of Quick Response Code (QR Code) to facilitate and speed up work.

“Technology like this is a very common thing today, so it must be done immediately,” he added.

According to Prof. Nasih, with the inauguration of functional officials, they can carry out positive changes, innovation, and improvement in the field of administration.

“There must be an initiative for the development of this technological innovation, so that work can be more efficient because there is technology assistance. And in the future, I want invitation to use a barcode, ” he said.

In the end of the speech, the rector invited all officials to continue to work hard and be smarter to utilize existing technology, so that they could continue to contribute to the alma mater, nation, and country. (*)
