UNAIR wins prestigious international awards in Japan

UNAIR NEWS – At New Otani Hakata Hotel, Fukuoka, Japan, 700 delegates from 42 countries attended the QS APPLE Creative Awards Presentation. It was a part of QS APPLE 2019, a summit of professional leaders in education from countries in Asia Pacific region.

This year’s QS APPLE Creative Awards turned into a special evening for Universitas Airlangga delegates as UNAIR won two prestigious awards. Universitas Airlangga succeeded in winning two awards from the involvement of 70 universities out from Asia Pacific countries.

First award was the Silver Award for the Most Creative Corporate Institution Video and the second award was QSWOWNEWS Top Contributor, awarded to a university with most news published in QSWOWNEWS website. In the award presentation, Universitas Airlangga was invited on stage with Ajman University, which won the Top Article award.

The award was received directly by Suko Widodo, Head of Center for Information and Public Relations Universitas Airlangga from the 2019 Apple QS Committee. The awards were presented by Dato’ Peter T.S. Ng, the founder of UCSI University.

For this award, Suko conveyed his gratitude. He hoped that the spirit of creativity continues to be developed in the management of educational information.

“Thank you to all members of the academic community who have contributed to this achievement. This award will inspire Universitas Airlangga to generate more creativities and innovations, “said Suko.

In addition to the Most Creative Corporate Institution Video category, there are four other categories provided by the organizer. The four categories are Best International Print Advertisement, Best International Student Recruitment Brochure, Best International Website Page, and Best Exhibition Booth Design.

The silver award-winning video of Universitas Airlangga was titled “BE A HERO”. A 4-minute and 8-second long video that tells the story and the role of doctors from the Faculty of Medicine who provide services to remote areas in Indonesia. (*)
