Visiting Indonesian Embassy in United Kingdom, UNAIR Improves Global Recognition

UNAIR NEWS – As part of the partnership visits to several universities in the UK, the leadership of UNAIR also visited the Indonesian Embassy in London. The delegates were welcomed directly by Indonesian Embassy Deputy, Adam Tugiyo, and Open University representatives on Tuesday, September 24.

On the occasion, UNAIR Rector Prof. Nasih in his remarks said that as one of the leading universities in Indonesia and leading center of higher education in eastern Indonesia, the entire UNAIR community wants to contribute on solving global problems through Tri Dharma activities, education, research and community service.

Prof. Nasih also explained various developments and condition of UNAIR. Besides having 14 faculties and one Postgraduate School, explained Prof. Nasih, UNAIR offers several international classes in faculty of medicine, dental medicine, pharmacy, veterinary medicine and psychology. Double degree programs are also available in several programs, such as medicine, dental medicine, pharmacist education, veterinary medicine, and psychology.

“Furthermore, UNAIR was appointed by the Indonesian Ministry of Research, Technology and Higher Education as a leading research center for the establishment of Institute of Tropical Disease (or ITD),” he said.

Prof. Nasih also said that his party also made global partnerships for global networks to support the internationalization of the university. At the moment, he added, UNAIR has more than 100 active MoUs with leading universities throughout the world.

” We are expecting that the collaboration between our universities can be expanded and explored further. We hope the collaboration will continue to be fruitful for many years ahead, and bring success to you and Universitas Airlangga, also to have a greater impact in creating a better future in the global community,” he concluded.
