UNAIR NEWS – Airlangga Knights have made more achievements. This time the progress was made by Hendriyan Ogivano, a student of Faculty of Science and Technology (FST) at Universitas Airlangga.
Together with his team, Hendriyan – or often called Hend – – won second place in 2019 Jamkrindo Hackathon competition held from July 9-13 in Jakarta. The announcement announced on Saturday, July 13 at Aconvention Hall Ancol.
“I was excited,” said Information System Department, FST student.
“My parents were thrilled, I can’t explain my feelings, “he added.
Furthermore, Hend with Bayu Ramadhan, SI 2017 UNAIR students, and Rifki Fadillah Akbar, PENS students participated in the competition. In addition, Hend faced several obstacles. One of the difficulties is the time on making this application. They only gave one day to prepare its features.
By taking the idea of the problems of Marketing Force Monitoring, they created an application based on maps. They choose this current problem.
“So, the maps application can monitor the user’s location. From there, we have a solution to monitor employees doing marketing and using GPS which can be recorded into the dashboard of their website, “he explained.
With the achievements that he made, Hend wanted to develop this application for the wider community. “Hopefully, we can develop the application for the wider community,” he explained.
Being a student of Information Systems, he uses the knowledge gained from lectures. It was demonstrated by incising various achievements. Besides, the second winner in 2018 Recap Hackhaton Google I/O competition held by East Java Developer Student Club (DSC).
For your information, Jamkrindo Hackathon is a competition held by Jamkrindo for programmers and information technology developers from the public. Especially, to produce new features and technology for credit guarantors in the framework of 49th anniversary of Jamkrindo.
