Liming Vocational University Explores Collaboration with UNAIR

UNAIR NEWS – Universitas Airlangga (UNAIR) continues to expand its network of international partnership.  This time, a visit from Liming Vocational University added the long list of UNAIR collaborations with international institutions on Friday, July 7, 2019) at Campus C UNAIR Management Office.

A signing session of Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was carried out by both institutions. There was Shiqing Huang as President of Liming Vocational University and Prof. Ir. Moch Amin Alamsjah, M.Si., Ph.D as UNAIR Vice Rector III in the meeting with some UNAIR leaders, including Wu Yuanxuan (Associate Dean, Associate Professor), Jason Lee (General Manager – Malaysia), Hongwei Yao (Dean Professor) accompanied by some Airlangga Global Engagement (AGE) representatives.

Liming Vocational University is a college located in Fujian, China with vocational base, practice-oriented. Therefore, the leader of the collaborative project is Faculty of Vocational Studies UNAIR.

Margaretha Rehulina, S.Psi., PG, Dip.Psych., M.Sc, as UNAIR International Partnership Coordinator, said that the collaboration was expected to develop academic mobility for students and staff. Moreover, with the program, students are expected to adapt easily with other foreign students.

“So the two universities can visit each other and learn from each other regarding language and culture,” he concluded.

Meanwhile, Shiqing Huang said that he was interested in collaborating with UNAIR due to its excellent facilities and environment. UNAIR also has an advanced Faculty of Vocational Studies in Indonesia.

“I hope this collaboration will bring better results and we can find new things,” he said.
