AAOM 2019 Conference, Dean of FEB: This is a Prestigious Event for World’s Management Scientists

UNAIR NEWS – As a form of commitment to improve science in the field of management, an Asia Academy of Management Conference – AAOM 2019 was held. It was a collaboration of Asia Academy of Management – Universitas Airlangga Indonesia  – Pertamina University Indonesia.

Being held on 19 to 21 June 2019, at Patra Bali Resort, there are 667 participants from 27 countries in Asia, Europe and America. Regarding the conference, the Dean of Faculty of Economics and Business UNAIR Prof. Dr. Dian Agustia, SE., M.Si., Ak., said that the first ever event held in Indonesia is a prestigious forum, especially for scientists in the field of management science.

“This is a very prestigious event for our management scientists,” she said.

Interviewed by UNAIR NEWS during the conference, Prof. Dian said that as a party that fully supports the activity, she expected management scientists in the future to be able to improve the quality and quantity of research, especially regarding the management science in Indonesia. Moreover, the conference, for Prof. Dian is also one way to improve the quality of management scientists in Indonesia, especially UNAIR.

“Of course, this prestigious activity can be a perfect place to improve the quality of our scientists,” she said.

In the end, as the first activity in Indonesia, continued Prof. Dian, the event could be the first milestone to strengthen the position of Indonesian management scientists in the global academic community. For additional information, previous AAOM activities were carried out in Hong Kong (1998), in Singapore (2000), in Bangkok (2002), in Shanghai (2004), in Tokyo (2006), in Taipei (2008), in Macau (2010), in Seoul (2012), in Hong Kong (2015), in Kitakyushu (2017).

AAOM 2019 was attended by scientists from across the world such as Taiwan, China, Hong Kong, Australia, Indonesia, USA, Singapore, South Korea, Netherlands, Japan, United Kingdom, India, Canada, Denmark Pakistan, New Zealand, UAE, Bangladesh , France, Malaysia, Thailand, Israel, Norway, Philippines, Scotland, Switzerland, Vietnam.
