UNAIR NEWS – Another discussion with the leadership of Faculty of Public Health, commonly known as SAWID, was held at Faculty of Public Health (FKM) Universitas Airlangga on Friday, June 14, 2019, in Sabdoadi Hall, 1st floor, FKM UNAIR. SAWID is a routine forum facilitated by Student Legislative Body (BLM) FKM UNAIR for students and deans of FKM UNAIR.

SAWID is also an activity focused on advocating student aspirations to the dean through two-way communication between students and the faculty leadership. In each stewardship, BLM has a big theme for SAWID to focus on the discussion.

Indah Eka Novita, Head of 2019 BLM FKM UNAIR, said that for the 2019 BLM management, the big theme of SAWID is World Class University (WCU). So, SAWID discussion which will be conducted several times a year will discuss FKM related to the WCU program of UNAIR.

“Yesterday, the first SAWID for this BLM management. This year’s big theme is World Class University. Yesterday’s SAWID sub-theme discussed security, canteen, and discussion room, “Indah stated.

Vice Dean II, Dr. Thini Nurul Rochmah, Dra. Ec., M.Kes., and Head of Facilities and Infrastructure, Rony Hartono, SH., were present as speakers at SAWID event. Other leaderships of FKM were also present, such as Dean of FKM UNAIR, Vice Dean I and II, KPS Public Health, KPS Gizi representative, and several guests from the head of divisions and subdivisions.

Indah also said that the enthusiasm of the students in SAWID program this time was quite good. The faculty leadership fully supported the event for the betterment of FKM. All elements of the academic community are expected to support SAWID program to realize a better FKM, especially towards WCU.

“The enthusiasm of students to attend the SAWID program is still lacking. Maybe because it was held on Friday just after the final exam week. However, the students who attended have shown good responses and questions to the faculty leadership, ” she said.

“I represent BLM and want to thank all students who were willing to fill in the R & D form for SAWID. Then, let’s contribute to your faculty; one of them is through this event, ” she stated. (*)
