UNAIR NEWS – Veterinary Medicine Student Association (HMKH) Off Main Campus Study Program (PSDKU) of Universitas Airlangga (UNAIR) in Banyuwangi launched a breakthrough. On May 2019, for the first time, HMKH PSDKU launched an online bulletin called “VENOM” or Veterinary Medical Official Magazine.
VENOM is a form of HMKH information media and one of the work programs of Communication and Information Division (Kominfo) HMKH PSDKU Banyuwangi. It aims to form a forum for information and activities around the field of veterinary medicine. Explained to UNAIR NEWS, Olivia Safitri Sulaksono as head of HMKH Communication and Information Division PSDKU said that the launch of VENOM motivated by the information needs of HMKH PSDKU Banyuwangi environment.
“VENOM is important for students, especially for students of PSDKU FKH,” he said.
Besides, the presence of VENOM is significant for FKH PSDKU students to find out things and information. Moreover, in the field of veterinary medicine.
“For this reason, this online bulletin or magazine is a breakthrough for FKH PSDKU students to find out the latest information and activities around veterinary science faculty,” he added.
Furthermore, Olivia explained in this first edition, and VENOM had the theme “The Highlights.” The idea contained several significant events of HMKH PSDKU UNAIR Banyuwangi and the latest information about veterinary medicine.
“Among them are FORSATION, Castration, PENGMAS SRC 2019 and several VET Info activities,” he said.
Going forward, she said that VENOM would be published every three months during the active period of lectures. Hopefully, VENOM can be in the form of e-magazine and print magazine and can be even better in adding information to all PSDKU students, especially PSDKU FKH.
“Hopefully, everyone will give full support, criticism, and suggestions regarding VENOM, for a better and more developed VENOM,” he concluded. (*)
