UNAIR NEWS – Airlangga Mobile Robot Soccer (Amuros) Team of Universitas Airlangga will follow national Indonesian Robot Contest (KRI) in 2019 organized by Ministry of Research, Technology and Higher Education (Kemenristek Dikti) of Indonesia. Amuros Team had qualified for the top 16 on Regional KRI 2019 at University of Mataram on May 21-23, 2019.

“Alhamdulillah, we are grateful to qualify to the National KRI. Regional IV was the most challenging regional contest because there are many other teams in regional IV which regularly win at the National KRI, “said Farhan Bachtiar, a member of Amuros team.

The Amuros Team has seven members from Instrumentation System Automation (OSI) D3 Program. They are Farhan Bachtiar (2016), Fuad (2016), Farhan Ramadhan (2016), Kelvin Redian (2016), Angger Krisna (2016), Dimas Wahyu Anggono (2017); and Andrea Praja (2017).

At 2019 Regional Level KRI, UNAIR sent three teams. The Legged Indonesian Fire Extinguisher Robot Contest (Legged KRPAI) division followed by Alegro ( Airlangga Legged Robot) team. The Wheeled Football Robot Contest (Wheeled KRSBI) was followed by Amuros team, and the Indonesian Art Dance Robot Contest (KRSTI) was followed by Ashuro team (Airlangga Humanoid Arts Robot).

The robots made by Amuros team for KRSBI are Eltra as Striker 1, Berkat as Striker 2, and Hap Hap as Goalkeeper. All three robots can maneuver and detect the ball. The competition assessment on Regional KRSBI division was done by playing the robots to score goals.

For the Wheeled KRSBI division, the teams that qualify at national level will represent Indonesia in robot contests in China. “So far, the preparation for 2019 National KRI is still focused on evaluating and revising robots from the regional level KRI yesterday,” said Farhan.

National KRI itself will be held on June 20-23, 2019 at Dian Nuswantoro University, Semarang, Central Java. All Wheeled KRSBI Participants and Humanoid KRSBI are required to attend, submit, and present their papers at the Indonesian Symposium on Robotic System and Control (ISRSC) 2019 on June 20.

“I hope we (Unair Team, ed) will achieve good results from the event,” he said. (*)
