Taxation Student Association Foster Social Awareness through Tax Social Day

UNAIR NEWS – In the holy month of Ramadan 1440 AH, the Student Association (HIMA) of Taxation D3 Program Universitas Airlangga held a “Tax Social Day ” event. The routine activity held in Ramadan is a form of Taxation students’ concern to social groups who need support. The aim is to build social awareness and provide a place to hold charity in Ramadan.

“Tax Social Day event was held at 2nd floor BG Junction Hall, Jalan Bubutan, Bubutan Sub-district, Surabaya City. It was held on Saturday, May 18, 2019 at 4:00 p.m.

In “Tax Social Day“, there were 28 children and administrators of Al-Hidayah Mabrur Orphanage. It was also attended by 150 people from UNAIR Taxation D3 students and alumni.

This year, ” Tax Social Dayheld several events. One of them is the distribution of takjil to road users and pedestrians around BG Junction.

At the same time, HIMA Taxation D3 Program UNAIR also held a social service with Islamic performances, quizzes and playing with the orphans of Al-Hidayah Mabrur Orphanage. After the social service, the activity continued with breaking the fast together.

After breaking the fast, there was Maghrib prayer in congregation, then continued with prayers from representative of Al-Hidayah Mabrur Orphanage.

“I hope that Tax Social Day activity can make us more grateful for all that is owned, appreciate and love parents more, with high social awareness,” said Chief Executive Amalina Firdausi.

“I hope that UNAIR taxation students can always make useful programs or events like this. So, it can make us more innovative and motivated for the future, “he added.

Meanwhile, Muhammad Rigel Ervinosa as Head of HIMA (KAHIMA) Taxation D3 Program UNAIR hoped that this activity could foster the social awareness in students, especially for the concern for others.

“We (UNAIR Taxation Students, ed) can share happiness and concern more to those around us, especially for UNAIR Taxation,” he said. (*)
