UNAIR NEWS – Regional Student Organization (ORMADA) Universitas Airlangga (UNAIR) Ponorogo held social services of iftar gathering at Darussalam Mulyorejo Orphanage. The event took place on Saturday on May 18 in Darussalam orphanage, Jalan Tegal Mulyorejo Baru No. 70-71. The event were attended by members of Ormada UNAIR Ponorogo and 30 children.
The purpose of the event was to share love in this blessed month and to invite the orphanage children to learn together while waiting for iftar. The event was opened by Head of Ormada, Arina Rasyidhiani by expressing gratitude.
Kholid as the representative of the orphanage staff expressed his gratitude in giving a speech to all Ormada members. He also gave an introduction story about Darussalam orphanage.
In addition, the event continued with the reading of the Holy Qur’an which was represented by one of the orphanage’s children. Then proceed with sharing stories and games in the form of educative questions for foster sisters.
“The enthusiasm of the orphanage siblings was great. It was seen from the look on their faces,” he concluded.
During Iftar, you can see the excitement of children. They were so happy while accompanied by the students from Ormada. In addition, there was a gift for the children represented by the staff and given by Head of Ormada UNAIR Ponorogo.
Take note, Ormada UNAIR Ponorogo is an organization for all of Ponorogo students who are studying in UNAIR. This organization was founded in 2017 and currently has entered the third generation. (*)
