UNAIR NEWS – The Sermon Division of Islamic Spiritual Community (KKI) Off Main Campus Program (PSDKU) in Banyuwangi held “Ramadan 1440 AH Study”. The event, which was held at SMAN Giri 1 Musalla, aimed to provide Islamic knowledge to students and make student free time useful and valuable as they waited time to break the fasting.

Adam Fahmi Fiqih as Head of KKI PSDKU in his speech said that the activity was one of the annual programs as well as a follow-up program for Prenuptial Study in Ramadan last year. For this year, he continued, the theme was “Ramadhan as the Moment of Islamic Generation Moral Improvement”.

“Hopefully, from this activity, students can use their free time for positive things and apply their knowledge gained from the study,” he explained.

The preacher for the event was Ustadz Rofi’udin. In his sermon, he said that there are three key words in his sermon, Ramadan, moral improvement, best generation. If these three things are drawn in a straight line, then as Muslims we would not miss Ramadhan to pass by.

“Ramadhan is a month full of blessings, abundant in grace and forgiveness. We should make this month our moment to improve piety to the creator and learn to restrain, “he said.

The ustaz known as Rofi, also explained that morality is a description of a person’s behavior which consciously or unconsciously reflects the person’s character and personality. During Ramadan, he added, various worship facilities and charity fields are provided by Allah.

“In the month of Ramadan, self-improvement is a good value for a Muslim in the eyes of Allah. Furthermore, the impact of self-habituation during Ramadan will give birth to the best generation, “he explained.

After the sermon, there was a questions and answers session and iftar feast. After Magrib prayer, the event continued with halaqah and tarawih prayer. After that, all participants, organizers, and invitations held al-Quran recitation.(*)
