UNAIR NEWS – D3 Taxation Program Universitas Airlangga (UNAIR) held KOMPAK 2109 (National Tax Competition) on May 3-5, 2019. KOMPAK 2019 is a competition held annually. The competition was attended by 49 taxation and accounting students from all Indonesian universities and any degrees of education.
“KOMPAK event was held for three days. On May 3, a technical meeting was held. The next day a preliminary round and quarter-finals were commenced and the final day was closed with the semifinal and final rounds,” said Qiftia Devi as Head of Committee.
Qiftia believes that KOMPAK 2019 is a competition to measure the ability of students in the field of taxation. It is useful to establish a relationship between taxation students throughout Indonesia.
He also explained that KOMPAK 2019 was themed “From Taxes We Stand”. It means that tax is a supporting instrument of the nation. The strong foundation of the nation is obtained from the payment of taxes. The impact can be seen from all elements of society which enjoy various state facilities.
“We never thought the enthusiasm from the participants would be so extraordinary. There are even participants from Ujung Pandang or Makassar, ” she concluded.
Qiftia said that there were some positive testimonies from several participants. With great joy, the participants praised Kompak 2019 as an awesome and exciting event. The competition was fierce and the service from the committee was also satisfying.
The winner of KOMPAK 2019 competition was announced at the end of the closing ceremony. As a result, PKN STAN got the two highest scores as the first and second place. The third winner was University of Indonesia.
“I hope KOMPAK D3 Taxation is always improved for better competition every year,” she added. (*)
