UNAIR NEWS – Quarterly Leadership Meeting is a routine agenda carried out by leaders of Universitas Airlangga. This time, the first Quarter Leadership Meeting, April 29, was held at Amerta Hall Campus C UNAIR.

The meeting attended by all leaders at faculty, directorate, institution, and center level was opened by UNAIR Rector Prof. Nasih. In his opening remarks, Prof. Nasih invited the leaderships to always be grateful as they started 2019 with various achievements.

“I see a different will. There has been an improvement from previous years, “said Prof. Nasih.

Even though there are improvements, Prof. Nasih assessed that there are still many things to improve and problems to be resolved immediately. Although, he continued, the time to run the work programs in 2019 is still long, Prof. Nasih invited all leaders to maximize the available time.

“I hope there won’t be any targets that cannot be achieved due to limited time. There is still quite convenient time, so let’s optimize it well, “he said. “Don’t look for reasons to justify our mistakes,” continued Prof. Nasih.

Prof. Nasih also mentioned that at the end of May there would be an announcement of higher education ranking from QS. Not only that, he added, in August the Ministry of Research and Technology and Higher Education will also announce the ranking of universities in Indonesia.

“For QS, all we can do is pray as we have done everything this year. And for the Kemristekdikti, there is still time. So let’s optimize it properly, “said Prof. Nasih.

Before closing the opening remarks, Prof. Nasih reiterated that at this meeting, he would like to have many solutions offered and joint commitment made for UNAIR in the future. Not only that, he continued, solutions that could be generated from the meeting in the future could become a common ground for better performance.

“Because this is part of our efforts to give benefit to our people, nation and alma mater,” he concluded. (*)
