Get to Know Data Analysis in Industry 4.0

UNAIR NEWS – Industry 4.0 is an internet-based world civilization with a variety of knowledge about programming. For the first time, Career and Entrepreneurship Development Center (PPKK) Universitas Airlangga held a workshop on big data analysis for beginners last week on Monday, April 15 at Parlinah Hall, Campus B Library, UNAIR. The workshop was related to data analysis by learning Python programming language specifically for beginners.

Public Relations of PPKK UNAIR, Ratna said data analysis is needed in almost every company. It is important for students to learn data analysis to use in industrial era 4.0. The workshop participants consisted of UNAIR students, alumni, and lecturers who were required to carry and use laptop in practicing programming language.

“Python is a programming language that is most widely used by scientific data users. It will analyze large amounts of data.” she said.

In addition, there was Abdullah Aufa Fuad, S.Si., M.Sc a Speaktograph CEO and Co-Founder and laboratory researcher Speaktograph data. It should be noted, Abdullah is an alumni of Physics Study Program, Universitas Airlangga and an alumni of Nano Science,  University of Lyon, France.

Abdullah received a Bachelor’s degree majoring in physics with a specialization in computational theoretical physics about python programming language through Jupyther. Moreover, he explained Python by giving an example of titanic ship. Through this case, Abdullah create programs through Titanic safety charts that can be distributed as a function, class, gender and safety.

“In everyday life, for science student to communicate 2 devices and for non-science student, Python can be used as a website design to create a dashboard that is used as a cashier tool, making decisions for data center. Besides that, it can also be used in everyday life, namely shopping at market prices, “he added.

Meanwhile Abdullah revealed that a scientest data user is needed in Indonesia. Please take a note, Python is the most basic programming language that must be mastered. Data usage in Surabaya city government are on 2000 cctv points. This awareness led to the proliferation of training provided by the government and the private sector. (*)
