UNAIR Improves Student Entrepreneurship Skill for Industrial Challenges 4.0

UNAIR NEWS – Universitas Airlangga (UNAIR) held a Leadership Forum titled Funding for Entrepreneurs in Industry 4.0 “on Thursday, March 28, 2019, at Garuda Mukti Hall, Campus C, UNAIR. The speakers were Abdullah Firman Wibowo, CEO of PT. Bank BNI Syariah, Lutfi Adhiansyah Muftie, CEO and founder of PT. Ammana Fintek Syariah and Dr. Gancar C. Premananto. CMA as the moderator.

There were also Imam Hidayat Soenarto as leader of BNI Syariah in Eastern Indonesia, Nurcahyo Dwi Artianto as Deputy Leader of the Retail Fund Division, BNI Syariah Branch leaders in Surabaya and Agus Sutantyo as Head of Hasanah Titik Foundation and Prof. Dr. Dian Agustia, SE., M.Sc., Ak as Dean of Faculty of Business Economics (FEB UNAIR).

Prof. Dian revealed, there are many things that must be addressed along with rapid changes. Primarily by universities in facing the challenges of the industrial revolution.

“To face these challenges, an entrepreneurial and innovative spirit is needed from all college graduates,” she said.

Firman stated that the existence of sharia is part of syafaah hasanah which means helping in kindness. The presence of universities is very important to realize syafaah hasanah.

“We need a university to give birth next nation’s cadres who will be hasanah ,” she explained.

There are six potential aspects of halal industry to build the economic independence. They are Islamic finance, halal food, modern fashion, halal travel, halal pharmaceuticals and cosmetics, and halal education.

On the other hand, usury is an antithesis of goodness. Usury provides wealth by making others poor. It is normal for the public to avoid it.

” It’s time to hijrah, move towards goodness. Our daily activity must be based on Islam, ” he concluded.

Lutfi revealed that fintech plays an important role in connecting investors with recipients of capital to support business being carried out. It is time for sharia economy to prosper. If the Islamic economy is combined with industry 4.0, the development of technology will grow rapidly.

“With technology, the concentration of wealth can be accelerated easily,” he added.

Furthermore, Lutfi explained that the presence of technology can support the growth of fintech, Fintech currently prioritizes character.

“We can use technology to see one’s character, digital track record can be used as a reference for assessment,” he explained. (*)
