UNAIR NEWS – Adhe Rahmatullah Sugiharto SS, Biomedical Engineering Study Program, Faculty of Science and Technology (FST) recently won as the Best Presenter in category of Innovation of Technology and Science at 16th Hokkaido Indonesian Student Association Scientific (Hisas 16) Sapporo Meeting on Saturday, March 16 2019 at Hokkaido University, Japan. Adhe was a representative team of Angga Bagus Prasetyo team, Gita Istiqfarrani, and Muwaffaq I’zaz Al Amin.
It was hard for Adhe in adapting with different environments. For example, mostly people cannot speak English in Sapporo. Besides that, even though it was only 3 days, Adhe continued, he also had to save his living costs.
Hisas 16 was his first prentation paper using English. Adhe revealed many things that must be considered like the choice of words in presentation.
“While my time for preparation was only about 4 days, so it’s really a challenge” he said.
To prepare Hisas 16, the thing that needs to be prepared was presentation material. Adhe applied the knowledge he had gained when attending 31st National Student Science Week (Pimnas).
“I had to prepare everything, starting from introduction, plot, style, and material. The fact that I need to use English, I have to always practice my english skills “he said.
It should be noted, before Adhe had won 31st Pimnas in the field of Cipta Karsa with the innovation of rehabilitation aids for post-stroke patients. He won Pimnas with his team: Afni Unaizah and Muwaffaq I’zaz Al Amin.
“In addition, I discussed everything that might arise during the presentation with my team” he added.
Adhe’s main motivation was to make his parents happy. Moreover, Japan is a destination that he had dreamed of.
Furthermore, Adhe also participates in Muslim Student Intellectuals (JIMM) organization at FST. Through this activity, he met a lot of great people behind Santri Tour and he became Chief Design Officer (CDO) in there. (*)
