UNAIR NEWS – Through AEE 2019 activities, UNAIR did not only provide various information from booths and talk shows for participants. There was also a blogspot and VLOG competition with a topic: ‘Why Do I Choose to Study at Airlangga University?’ and best booth announcement for 2019 AEE.

In the vlog and blogpost competitions, there were five winners. The first winners were entitled to get 7.5 million rupiah, 6 million rupiah for second winners, 4.5 million rupiah for third winners, 3 million rupiah for fourth winners and 1.5 million rupiah for fifth place.

In the vlog competition, Leo Nanda and Dwi Nanda from SMAN 1 Talun-Blitar won 1st place followed by Priagung Rizki Wibisono from SMA Muhammadiyah, Kediri. Alfiansyah Pradana from SMAN 2 Probolinggo won the third place. Patrick Pebrian Pratama from SMAN 1 Abung Semuli, Lampung as fourth place winner and finally, Novita Anggraini from SMAN 1 Geger, Madiun as fifth place winner.

For the blogpost writing competition, 1st place was won by Mohammad Rehan Firdaus from Bangkalan SMKN Bangkalan, 2nd place was won by Muhammad Andika Rahman from SMKN 4 Banjarmasin, followed by Zahra Afifah from SMAN 6 Tambun Selatan, Bekasi. Christabel Anneke from Stella Maris Catholic High School, Surabaya won 4th place and Faisol Abrori from MAN 1 Jember as 5th place winner.

Meanwhile, there were two award categories for booths, Best Booth and Best Service. For Best Booth category, Faculty of Medicine won first place, followed by Research and Innovation Institute (LPI) as the runner up and the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine as the third winner.

For Best Service, Faculty of Public Health won first place, Faculty of Science and Technology won second place and Faculty of Pharmacy as the third winner.

As a closing activity, Prof. Dr. Ni Nyoman Tri P, representing Prof. Nasih, UNAIR Rector expressed her gratitude to all parties who supported and make AEE 2019 successful. Prof. Nyoman also expressed her appreciation to the participants who were willing to attend AEE 2019 activities. On this occasion, Prof. Nyoman said that the farthest participants present at the event came from Makassar, then Semarang, Bandung, Jakarta and Jogjakarta.

“With the presence of participants from different cities, it means that AEE does not only attract students from Surabaya and its surroundings. But also outside East Java, ” explained Prof. Nyoman.

With the implementation of AEE 2019, Prof. Nyoman hoped that the information obtained by participants in these activities can provide a certain attraction. So, later the participants can become parts of UNAIR.

“Hopefully by joining this AEE 2019 activity. Participants can be more interested in entering UNAIR and becoming part of UNAIR through the paths that have been provided. From the SNMPTN, SBMPTN, Independent Admission or Independent International Class path,” said Prof. Nyoman.

Prof. Nyoman also gave her greatest appreciation to Dr. Achmad Solihin SE, M.Si. as the chief executive of AEE 2019 and the committee. Prof. Nyoman also thanked the deans, all the heads of the directorate’s center, institutions and work units in the UNAIR environment, PIH UNAIR chaired by Dr.Suko Widodo, M.Si. and all other committees.

After being closed directly by Prof. Nyoman, participants then enjoyed the performance of  Fadly, the vocalist of Padi which is a band formed in UNAIR in the 90s.
