UNAIR NEWS – Youth in this era must bring changes for the surrounding environment. Millennial generation must be creative, at least have leadership ​​for better Indonesia.

In order to mold a quality nation successor, Koperasi Cempaka ISF held an event titled Indonesia Scholarship Festival (ISF), Start Struggle Shine , Integrating Education with Indonesia’s Golden Generation Innovation Awards at Airlangga Convention Center (ACC) UNAIR, Surabaya, Friday, Feb. 8.

ISF is a place for scholarship providers, best universities in the world, and the best prospective student candidates.

This year, ISF is only held in 3 major cities, Jakarta, Yogyakarta and Surabaya. ISF presented scholarship and prestigious universities exhibition from different countries, such as leading scholarships from Ministry of Education and Culture, Pusbindiklatren Bappenas, Nuffic Neso, Erasmus +, Aminef (Fullbright), DAAD, and Australia Awards. In addition, ISF also presents educational institutions, English language institutions, and participation of more than 30 top universities in the world.

In his remarks, Vice Rector I Prof. dr., Djoko Santoso Ph. D., K-GH., FINASIM said that the millennial generation in 21st century will be able to improve their competitiveness when choosing quality schools. He emphasized young people should not be afraid to dream of achieving a bright future.”

“Today must be better than yesterday, tomorrow must be better than today,” added Prof. dr., Djoko Santoso.

Puguh Prasetyo as Program Coordinator said that this year’s ISF was themed “Integrating Education with Innovation Towards Indonesia’s Golden Generation in 2045”. It was intended that after 100 years of independence, Indonesia could reach the golden age and glory. There is also youth from the demographic bonus as the driving force to achieve Indonesia’s 2045 vision.

During the event, visitors will be given tips and tricks on applying for university scholarships (Diploma, Bachelor’s, Master’s, Specialist or Doctoral program), strategies to pass scholarships for study plan direction, and sharing session on post-college experience. Not only the scholarship exhibition, ISF also held TOEIC, TOEFL, and IELTS Workshops, Start Up & Empowerment Youth Talks, Campus Immersion Class, and Thesis and Dissertation Research and Proposal Workshops.

In the end, Puguh Prasetyo hoped that Indonesian youths would dare to dream and fight for a better future.
