UNAIR NEWS – Bela, that is how Berdit Zanzabela was addressed. She is an inspiring young woman from Trenggalek, East Java. She is a master’s program student at Media and Communication Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (FISIP) Universitas Airlangga who managed to spread her wings in the world of broadcasting and influencers.

The woman who won 2017 East Java Friendship Raki nomination said that she is pursuing her career as news presenter and reporter at TVRI Surabaya. Bela is also active in providing public speaking training at workshops and bootcamp of Ambassador elections.

“For the past 2 years, I have been busy in the field of presenting and public speaking in several events. Not only that, lately I also have a lot of requests for private classes for junior and senior high school students, ” she said.

Her perseverance in teaching made Bela inspired to establish small office and classes. This is one form of her dream in serving the society.

“After graduating from S2, I plan to focus more on teaching and enter the junior / senior high school extracurricular as well. Not only that, I also have plans to open an office and have small classes as a place for me to share knowledge that I gained to young generation of the nation,” Bela added.

Her busy schedule to make achievements off campus does not become an obstacle for her in gaining excellent academic achievement. In fact, for the second time, she had the opportunity to be one of the delegates of 2018 Asian Enlightening Studies in Tokyo. Bela qualified to take part in the International Conference in Japan and won 3rd place in 2018 Inspiring Youth, Ministry of Youth and Sports of Republic of Indonesia, where the audition was held in Kediri.

Bela in making achievements also experiences the ups and downs. Her activities in several events and becoming a broadcaster made it difficult for her to manage her time. Some of her works had to be neglected.

“My difficulty in managing time did not make me discouraged. I try to do it as optimal as possible, even though sometimes I come late in some event. Such as what happened in the Inspiring Youth competition held in Kediri, ” she said.

“However, Alhamdulillah, the struggle paid off, as I was named the third winner. For me it is not an obstacle, but a challenge for myself, “Bela added.

Bela also advised the younger generation, especially UNAIR students to continue to innovate and develop their creativity. The digital world, continued Bela, must be a positive media and utilized as well as possible. (*)
