New Age of BEM FKM UNAIR with Bahar and Milada

UNAIR NEWS – “Be as strong as banana tree because it will not die before harvesting the fruit”. That was the expression of Muhammad Baharuddin, the graduate who was elected as Head of BEM Universitas Airlangga (UNAIR) Faculty of Public Health  (FKM) for 2019/2020 period. His humble figure make him trusted by FKM to become leaders.

The man who is often called Bahar also has the confidence to move forward. He believes, success can be achieved when accompanied by strong beliefs.

“Thank you for all of my parents support and FKM friends who gave the power to spread benefits to others,” said Bahar.

FKM student batch 2016 said that all of the rocky road that God had given him. The bitter twists being Head of BEM FKM is not a problem for him and it help Bahar to continue in improving FKM to be better.  According to Bahar the leader must be fair, which is fair in solving problems, fair in maintaining harmony, and fair in fulfilling obligations and rights.

“My vision is entitled ‘This is Our Work for FKM UNAIR and Indonesia’,” continued Bahar.

Besides that, bahar mission is to work with the internal ormawa based on professionalism, work by creating effective and efficient regeneration, work by creating a culture of discussion based on literacy and action, and work by creating contributive, interactive and cheerful community service.

Unlike Bahar intention, Milada Mohammad Ravsanjanie, FKM student batch 2017 who was elected as Vice of BEM FKM UNAIR said in the beginning, he had no intention at all to accompany Bahar in leading BEM FKM. However, because they has the same principles and ambitions in improving FKM, Milada convinced to be Vice of BEM.

“Leaders are people who emulate the characteristics of the Apostle, in the form of honesty, trustworthiness, and smart,” explained Milada.

Milada also explained clearly that he wanted to develop his leadership potential. According to him all humans are leaders, especially if the person has the intention to spread goodness through ideas and performance for FKM.

In the end, Bahar and Milada promised to continue to fight and collaborate with all their knowledge they have for FKM UNAIR and Indonesia.

“An elephant dies leaves its tusk, a person dies leaves his/her name. Starting from today, let’s work together. Our work is for FKM UNAIR and Indonesia, “concluded Bahar and Milada. (*)
