FKp UNAIR Prepares Their Student to be Nerspreneurship Candidates

UNAIR NEWS – Entrepreneurship is not only for people who have economic background. Entrepreneurship is for everyone. In UNAIR, a lot of faculties have been adopted entrepreneurship as course, one of which is nursing faculty.

For the first time, Faculty of Nursing Universitas Airlangga (UNAIR) implemented an entrepreneurial base learning project for 2015 and 2017 batch students on Monday, 17 December outside FKp building. The concept was to emphasize innovative and economical side of students, in order to make a worth-sell product.

The event, which began at 8:00 a.m. – 10:30 p.m., opened around 32 booths, where the products related to health field.

Entrepreneurship courses Lecturer, Dr. Tri Siwi Agustina, SE, M.Si, said that modified products were guaranteed as a safe product because it were made from natural ingredients such as reeds, cucumbers, aloe vera. There is also a mixture of all kind of spices such as ginger, cutcherry, and galangal used as healthy herbs product.

“Student creativity in exploring ideas deserves a thumbs up but there were still several student selling food and beverage products. Like klepon, pudding, herbal medicine. Only 1 percent made a beauty products, mask.” said Siwi.

A lot of student still selling food and beverage product. Although, Siwi never prohibit his students from making food products. He considered, they still did not want to leave the comfort zone. Hopefully, in the future they can explore more to make a health product.

In the end, the person in charge of entrepreneurship courses is Dr. Kusnanto S.Kp., M.Kes gave highly appreciation for students who want to become entrepreneurs. Although, they are still students, they must anticipate limited job vacancy nowadays.

In global era, students must cultivate new skills to reduce unemployment graduate. One of the effort was to raise nerspreneurship spirit.
