1st Winner in LKTI in Solo, Egy Becomes Outstanding Graduate from Faculty of Vocational Studies

UNAIR NEWS – “Actually I am not very prominent in academic and non-academic world. I’m just a funny guy. But when I made my choice, I would try to do my best. “That was Egy Ramandhani reaction, an outstanding graduate of Faculty of Vocational Studies Universitas Airlangga (UNAIR).

The graduate who was born in Sidoarjo, 8 February 1997, admitted that during his time in Hiperkes and Safety Program (Vocational Studies UNAIR, he was taught to be responsible, communicative, work team to prepare him in the future.

The struggle that Egy have to pass during his time on college was not always easy for him. At first, Egy admitted that there was an obstacle during his intership (PKL). Egy said that he was nervous when he gave briefing related to work safety for workers in there.

“But I did not give up and I learned to communicate in front of workers. Over time I get used to it. ” explained the graduate who was active in HIMA Hiperkes.

Egy’s internship experience was choosen to be his material in Scientific Writing Competition (LKTI) IOSH Summit Competition Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS) 2017 and won in first place. He took the theme in applying a healthy work culture, and named it as SEGOMIMIK application or ergonomic exercise and music. This project led him to become an outstanding graduate.

“So (SEGOMIMIK, ed) should be done before lunch break. The exercise is simple simillar to the prayer movement, but the benefits will be useful for our body if we do it routinely, “explained the graduate who was working in PT Wilmar Gresik.

Moreover, Egy advised all of UNAIR students who are still in college. “Don’t waste your time in college only for learning or playing, if there is an opportunity whether it’s HIMA, BEM, UKM or other activities outside campus that you interested in, you should try to do it. Because your time during college determines your future” he concluded. (*)
