Celebrating 64th Anniversary, UNAIR Banyuwangi Inaugurates Desa Mitra

UNAIR NEWS – Celebration of 64th Anniversary of Universitas Airlangga in the Banyuwangi Campus Program (PSDKU) gave a special gift to UNAIR Banyuwangi academic community because, at that time Tamansari village was inaugurated as a village assisted by UNAIR Banyuwangi for the next 5 years.

Gde Agung Satria Utama, SE., M.Ak., CA., as the coordinating secretary of UNAIR Banyuwangi PSDKU, confirmed the official announcement. Tamansari village was inaugurated as a village assisted by UNAIR PSDKU for the next 5 years to maximize the application of Tri Dharma of higher education. Especially by UNAIR Banyuwangi.

Later Tamansari Village was built with four programs at PSDKU UNAIR. In addition, every aspect of its development continues to practice the Tri Dharma of higher education, research, teaching, and community service.

“For research, the lecturer team have often carried out research there. For teaching, it has been carried out by students through KM work program called UNAIR Mengajar, “he said.

“Our community service has not been implemented, in the future we will still explore the potential,” said the man known as Aak.

Tamansari Village was chosen by UNAIR PSDKU because previously the relationship between the two was good. Besides, UNAIR PSDKU often held various activities there.

“Because, we often do various activities there. Therefore, with a synergy that has long been well connected, the campus wants to use it better, “he said.

Regarding sustainability, UNAIR PSDKU consisting of lecturers and students will continue to monitor the development of Tamansari Village for the next 5 years. A number of study programs and student associations will also be involved.

“Over the next 5 years, our lecturer team will collaborate with KM and Hima in each program to launch a work program there. “In this period Tamansari Village has shown good change, we will move our target villages to other villages in Banyuwangi Regency,” concluded Aak.

Tamansari Village Head, Rizal Sahputra, SP., Also expressed his hope when met by the UNAIR NEWS team . The cooperation is expected to improve the progress of the village, especially to make the Tamansari Village better.

“Representing the community of Tamansari Village, hopefully our village will be better after UNAIR chose our village to become its target village. And, we are waiting for various work programs that aim to explore the potential of our village, “he hoped. (*)
