UNAIR NEWS – Success is a journey, not a destination. Hardwork is more important than result. Because, there are no such thing as instant effort to achieve our dream. Now is the time for young knights of Airlangga to keep making achievements at college.
One of the real examples was from Accounting student batch 2015 who won in 2 competition, they were Nanda Marga Retna CJ, Arintis Wahyu Susanti, Mochammad Bachrul Ulum won 1st place and Naomi Novelin VM, Maria Gracia Donna AP, Maria Maylinda Agatha won 3rd place in Telkom Accounting Fair 2018 which was held on 8-11 November at Telkom University Bandung.
“Alhamdulillah, we can bring good reputation for UNAIR with our knowledge and unexpectedly we get thropies,” said Nanda Marga, as the team leader.
Moreover, these three Airlangga knights often joined Scientific Writing Competition and won such as 1st winner of Accounting Paper Competition Perbanas 2017, 2nd place winner of Intelligence Quiz “Islamic Economy” 2018 at Universitas Darussalam Gontor.
For the achievements they made, they must go through several stages. First, Preliminary Online, Quarter Final Run to Post, Semifinal: Manage Point and Auction Question, and Final. In the semifinal round, they must bet points to answer questions without knowing the question form, while the Auction Question used auction question system.
She added, in this competition there were 16 teams that passed Online Preliminary round such as Universitas Airlangga, Universitas Indonesia, Universitas Gajah Mada, Universitas Sebelas Maret, Universitas Padjajaran, Telkon University, and many more.
“Because we were really busy with our thesis, we did not have time for preparation like group meeting or discusion, we only prepared from reference book contained in booklet,” said Mochammad Bachrul Ulum.
She explained, there was something unique in Run to Post round, we were working on accounting questions with games. There was a session where the questions can be obtained automatically without being taken away by the opponent when they can guess the song (National and Regional Songs, ed).
UNAIR delegation hoped to make our parents proud. Thus, it can also be an inspiration for our juniors for not giving up easily.
