UNAIR NEWS – Student Association of Public Health Program PSDKU Universitas Airlangga in Banyuwangi celebrated their third anniversary on Saturday, October 27. It was held in a garden party concept by involving all students of Public Health programs and lecturers.
Decorated with colorful lights and flowers, the activity held at Gadung A futsal field, Giri Campus PSDKU UNAIR Banyuwangi. The activity was also attended by Meytha Nuraini, S.KM., MScPH as speaker in a sharing session .
Head of HIMA Saiful Azis Setyawan said that the celebration was a form of gratitude to the seniors who had built the foundation of the association, developed bond between the generations, and also lecturers. At the same time, as a form of recreation from the busy schedules of their studies.
The anniversary event was a series of events consisting of bonding event and feast, Saturday, October 27 and the community service taking place on Sunday, October 28.
In the afternoon before the bonding event, students were divided into several teams to take part in a game to strengthen friendship and to get to know each other and test teamwork of each generation. In the evening, there was a sharing activity from alumni and first Head of B-PHA Yogi Yuwono.
“It’s great to be able to meet again with the juniors here. Keep your spirits high. Being the first generation was not an easy thing, starting from scratch, not knowing where to go, fumbling to find a way and finally being able to succeed is a pride. We have opened the way, let’s fight and prove your best quality, “Yogi advised the juniors.
The emotional atmosphere felt during the discussion. The story of the struggle from the first generation was an unforgettable moment. Fireworks and tumpeng feast with birthday song made the event was more emotional.
PSDKU Universitas Airlangga Public Health Student Association (B-PHA) was formed on October 18, 2016, the first Head was Yogi Yuwono and his deputy was Ogis Mega Pratiwi (2016) with a cabinet named cabinet 1 for outstanding. Then, followed the following year generation led by Hanien Firmansyah and the deputy Saiful Azis Setyawan (2017) with Harmony cabinet. The third year of management continued by Saiful Azis Setyawan and his deputy Fairuz Iman Haritsah (2018) with their Progressive cabinet. [*]
