UNAIR NEWS – Graduation is an impressive moment, especially for students who have struggled to complete their thesis and graduate on time. As a form of gratitude for the graduation process, students of Islamic Economics Program of Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB) Universitas Airlangga (UNAIR) held a feast entitled MANIS on Tuesday, September 11.

The event was held after 66 students of Islamic Economics completed their studies and graduated on Saturday, September 8 at FEB Tirto Diningrat Hall, Campus B UNAIR. The celebration also invited a speaker to provide motivation, Ichlasul Amal Rangga, Winata S.EI M.SEI, a 2007 alumni and one of the founders of UNAIR’s Islamic Economics program.

On that occasion, Ichlasul encouraged the graduates to take part in entrepreneurship.

“Entrepreneurship becomes an option available for students who have graduated. However, the road is not easy, it requires a determination, principles, knowledge, and strong persistence, “said Ichlasul.

Ichlasul said, community must have strong characters. A strong vision will create strong determination and have a good impact for the future. That success, he continued, was achieved through perseverance and determination.

“Ask your parents, not only about their permission but convince them as well on our decision, “he explained.

The alumni feel proud of the achievements made after four years of college. This feast was attended by about 200 students consisted of 66 students who just graduated and active Islamic Economics students. The active students made a circle around the alumni, and sang the newly released march.

“I’m happy, because I managed to finish college even though it was difficult. With the title S.EI behind the name, we are held accountable not only in the world, but also in the hereafter, “said Hengky Asmarakandi, an alumnus who had just graduated.

This graduation is part of the test in the form of enjoyment and a degree acquired. Hopefully we can make good deeds and benefit others without being arrogant. (*)
