UNAIR NEWS – Various breakthroughs of Community Service Program (KKN) continues to be done by Institute of Community Service (LPM) Universitas Airlangga. Besides organizing Thematic KKN-BBM and launching Overseas KKN program, KKN Back to Village, KKN PKM, KKN Kebangsaan, and KKN Ceria, LPM UNAIR also initiated other KKN program. According to Head of LPM UNAIR Prof. Dr. H. Jusuf Irianto, Drs., M.Com ., it is collaborations with various agencies.

In the 58th KKN-BBM event which was held after the Eid al Fitr 2018, LPM UNAIR has pocketed some partnerships. One of them is with the Coordinating Ministry for Human Development and Culture (Kemenko PMK) of Indonesia.

“In collaboration between LPM and Kemenko PMK RI, we conducted KKN Thematic of Mental Revolution,” he said.

In addition to Kemenko PMK, LPM UNAIR is also working with the National Agency for Placement and Protection of Indonesian Immigrant Workers (BNP2TKI). He added that the students will be involved directly to deal with various problems of migrant workers in some areas that become pockets of migrant workers in East Java.

“We also collaborate with BNP2TKI to hold thematic KKN about handling various cases of migrant workers,” he explained.

Then, as one of the universities in Surabaya, Prof. Jusuf added, UNAIR also participates in building the city by involving students for KKN in several areas in Surabaya. The KKN, he added, is a collaborative effort of LPM UNAIR with several agencies in the Surabaya City Government.

“The Surabaya City Government also expects our contribution, they (City Government) also requested LPM UNAIR to deploy students in some points. Primarily for the guiding small and medium business practitioners, “he concluded.
